Update 1
Uncursed » Devlog
So I was working on the second game, and decided I may need to update this game first, since it actually does have some important things for later in the story.
The update mostly consist of changes to the levels that make the game less frustrating and more accessible to players, but there are also some changes to pieces of dialogue and I fixed some spelling mistakes.
A detailed list of every change:
- changed some names
- you now have to manually adjust throwing strength instead of just timing it right.
- music no longer starts playing before the audio setting activates when starting the game
- the jump in the mountain puzzle would seem impossible if you didn't know exactly how to do it, so I made it easier.
- added an extra rock on the first level so you wouldn't get stuck if you didn't pick up the rock at the entrance.
- the button on level 1 is eaier now, people where having trouble with that.
- the hitboxes around the short vines at level 2 are now easier to deal with.
- added arrow signs to level 2 and the city to show where the player should go next
- fixed a bug where reloading after entering the mountain would open the door even if the button hasn't been pressed.
- introduce the mechanics of the first boss beforehand.
- there are now also particles on phase 2 of the first boss to indicate what to do.
- vines now go ever so slightly faster
- small changes to dialogue, particularly in the endings.
- changed the animations of both endings.
- changed some colors of the symbols in the end room, because I have a clearer idea of what I want them to be now.
- removed one of the flying things in deeperforest
- fixed a bug where you could go through the teleporter blockade at the beginning of deeperforest, and skip the whole level.
